A misdemeanor conviction can result in a jail sentence of six months to one year, depending on the type of misdemeanor. Mr. Kern has represented numerous clients accused of Driving While Under The Influence of Alcohol or Drugs. A DUI conviction can have many legal consequences – losing your license, large fines, adding points to your driving record, increasing your insurance premiums, and facing potential jail time. If someone is convicted of a first time DUI, he or she can face up to six months in Jail. If convicted of a felony DUI, he or she could ultimately end up in prison.
